Pastor Jim Flachsbart

Pastor Jim Flachsbart is our interim pastor as Bethany seeks a full-time pastor. He has over 30 years of experience as a pastor and has spent the past 10 years as an interim, helping congregations as they seek new leadership.

Dorothy McMillan - Music Director

A graduate from Azusa Pacific University in California, Dorothy returned to the Northwest and served as a church musician at Stella Lutheran Church in Longview. In 1996, Bethany Lutheran wanted to start a 2nd service that would be more casual in format. Bethany invited Dorothy to come on staff as a Music and Worship/Praise team director. Dorothy prayerfully accepted and is still at Bethany working with the worship team, and leading musical worship every week. Dorothy is a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. She plays several instruments which is helpful in leading a band. Dorothy also has a couple of CDs that are available. Dorothy has sung classical and choral, and worked with many contemporary groups, including jazz as well as directing musical theater productions. Her passion, though, is music unto the Lord and working together to lift a beautiful song in worship to our Lord.
